  • Our Response to COVID-19 Reopening

A Letter from Doug Wohl, Owner of Wohl Optics

We all are feeling the financial and emotional struggles of this pandemic.  We want you to know how seriously we are taking this pandemic.  We do not want to be responsible for any exposure, spread, or contamination.  Your feelings, your stress, your anxiety, your angst, it is all real and we will get through it together. Rest assured; Wohl Optics takes this pandemic very seriously. As always, our highest priority is ensuring the health and safety of our patients, all while meeting our service commitments to you.

There will be a new norm in your neighborhood family-owned optical shop to ensure everyone’s safety. We want you to feel comfortable and safe. Wohl Optics has missed you and have opened in the safest way possible - one-on-one and by appointment only.

We continue to be strict with our cleaning and sanitizing protocols between people and greatly appreciate all of your understanding and cooperation through all of these times! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, rest assured, we are ready to serve you and our community. We greatly value our relationships with you. We are confident that we will get through this together and wish everyone the best during this difficult time.

We carefully follow the prevention procedures and preparedness guidelines as put forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Academy of Ophthalmology, the World Health Organization as well as federal and local health authority state health departments.

We are sending positive thoughts and good vibes to you and yours. We have a great community. This too shall pass.

  • In-Store Safety Precautions You Can Expect From Wohl Optics
    1. We are extremely cautious continuously sanitizing our hands, chairs, doorknobs, tables, equipment, and frames. That includes anywhere everyone's hands may go from surfaces, eyewear, restroom and more. It is labor-intensive because all frames patients try on need to be decontaminated. Not all cleaners are appropriate for washing frames, but we do it. Safety is our priority. We are committed to keeping our store clean inside and out. This has always a priority for us, but now we will go the extra mile as we know with this virus, cleanliness is key to our health and safety.
    2. Compliance with applicable government regulations related to the containment of Coronavirus.
    3. Because of Covid-19, we will be seeing patients by appointment only for personalized one-on-one basis. That means you will still receive our top-notch expertise, but without the worry of another person near you at the time of purchase or pick up. Only one person or a parent and minor will be permitted in the store so you can enjoy the eyewear selection process safely.
    4. Because everything will be done by appointment ONLY, we will have floating hours to accommodate all who need assistance. When you arrive in our parking lot, please call us at (215) 443-7706.
    5. Face masks must be worn by anyone coming into the store. All staff will always protect you by wearing face masks. Masks are worn to add further protection against the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
    6. Staff will use one phone and computer and maintain social distancing between themselves. Should we need to change phones or computers, we will have them disinfect between uses.
    7. Wohl Optics staff will remove eyewear from displays to reduce any contamination on the displays and we will ensure every pair of eyewear is completely sanitized BEFORE you try them on. Glasses you do not choose to purchase will be placed in a separate bin for thorough disinfection before placed back on displays.
    8. You will be able to remove your masks to try on the frames in a centralized area of thee dispensing area; you will not have to guess what you look like in new frames.
    9. All frame and eye measurements will be performed with properly sanitized equipment and a visor worn will be worn by staff for your safety.
  • Minimizing Risks

We ask that you notify us prior to your appointment if you have any of the criteria listed below to reschedule your appointment. We will make every effort to reschedule patients as soon as they are well. Please note that if these criteria apply, you will not be permitted into our office so we can ensure a clean and safe environment.

    • Diagnosed with COVID-19 or been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
    • Experienced a cough, fever, or shortness of breath in the last 2 weeks and/or lost your sense of taste of smell.

We are still waiting on supplies that are back ordered, as you can imagine, but be assured, we have your health and safety in mind over everything else.

We will all get through this together with a little laughter and a LOT of support for one another. We are here for your emergency needs and will be standing by our community as we have always done for over 18 years right here in Warminster, PA.

Please be safe and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Contact me now through email and I have set up an emergency mobile phone 267-987 9794 for you to call or text me. I am here for you.

    Warm regards,

    Doug Wohl

P.S.: We have once again restocked our frames with beautiful independent lines that we selected for you to have the best quality and price, as opposed to brand names. All Covid-19 Updates will be on our Facebook page as well as here on our Web site We look forward to seeing you soon!
